Minister Djevdet Chakurov issued ordinance RD No. 316/29 May 2008, confirming that Ecobulcar has fulfilled its commitments to its members for 2007 and are relieved of product tax payment obligation. Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Chavdar Georgiev gave a news conference, making public the results of the audits of ELV and package recycling companies. Ecobulcar has reached the 87.34 per cent mark in reuse and utilization, and the 86.74 mark in reuse and recycling. The company collected 992 tons of ELV scrap.

Information was released that Willy Betz Ltd. & Co. KD - Balkan Star has also done well as an individual company. It signed a contract with Makmetal Ltd. On co-operation in ELV recycling in compliance with Article 21 of the Regulation on ELV Scrap Treatment Requirements.

For the second year running, Ecobulcar JSC has successfully met all legislative regulations in collecting, reuse, utilization and recycling of waste under Article 21 paragraph 3, item 2, in compliance with paragraph 4 of the transitional and conclusive provisions of the Regulation on ELV Scrap Treatment Requirements.
